Best way to rent a home?
I am looking to rent a home in the Fishers or Carmel Area of Indiana. I heard that sometimes you can make a deal with a home owner facing foreclosure and agree to rent their home for a certain amount each month. I am only looking to rent a few years. What is the best way to search for homes like this? Any suggestions would be of help but please spare me the “buy a home now” speech because I cannot afford nor do I want to right now.
i doubt you could get a valid lease that way. you could pay their mortgage and as soon as they are on their feet, out you could go.
place an ad in your local paper, say what you are looking for in a house
and what you are willing to pay. including only one months security and first month only. i’m a landlord and some of them add so much
crap on in the beginning you need like 4 grand to move in.
make sure you say you have work credentials and references and also
don’t mention it in the ad that you have a pet if you do…feel out the landlord first. i do allow pets but not many do.
