Stars Foreclosures
Mrs. Bush was on the news this morning asking if U.S. Citizens understood that their tax dollars are helping?
Africans and people around the world to get medicine and other help to have better lives. On the trip GW spent our tax dollars ($150 million to one country alone) like a drunken sailor, all so he and Ms. Bush could be treated like rock stars. When U.S. Citizens have little healthcare, lack jobs and are suffering from higher costs and mortgage foreclosures and higher gas prices, doesn’t this anger anyone else besides me? Why can’t we take care of the USA first, foremost and always? After all, even the airlines tell you to put the oxygen masks on yourself, first, because if you’re dead you can’t help others!
Ha, now you get it. I must say that foreign aid only takes up a minute portion of the budget. But I say Americans need health care before Iraq, before we give hand outs to other countries. There are exceptions in my mind but why in the world doesn’t the US put it’s CITIZENS and not it’s businesses first.

The Grapes of Wrath $3.98 Ranking No. 21 on the American Film Institute’s list of the 100 greatest American films, this 1940 classic is a bit dated in its noble sentimentality, but it remains a luminous example of Hollywood classicism from the peerless director of mythic Americana, John Ford. Adapted by Nunnally Johnson from John Steinbeck’s classic novel, the film tells a simple story about Oklahoma farmers leaving the de… |

Gone with the Wind $8.20 David O. Selznick wanted Gone with the Wind to be somehow more than a movie, a film that would broaden the very idea of what a film could be and do and look like. In many respects he got what he worked so hard to achieve in this 1939 epic (and all-time box-office champ in terms of tickets sold), and in some respects he fell far short of the goal. While the first half of this Civil War drama is tau… |
