Spokane Foreclosure
Short Sales / Foreclosure question. Do you have to live in the home ?
So my co worker and myself are in the same boat, we’re being forced by our job to relocate to Spokane, WA. She talked to a real estate lawyer last night and they told her that she has to live in the house while it’s being short sold or the bank could/would come after the home owner for the $$ difference. Said that the home owner has to live in the primary residence while it’s being short sold. Same thing went for a foreclosure, that if you have to live there while it’s being foreclosed on. If your not living in the residence at the time it either short sales or is foreclosed on the the bank can come after us for the difference.
This can’t be true??? How am I supposed to sell a house in one state and try to find a place to rent in another state 7 hours away?
I was under the assumption that I’d find a place to rent and move. Then leave my house with my Realtor and have them hopefully short sale the home.
This specialist website will be of help to you with more advice on that.
