Polk Foreclosures
Should the candidates be spending all this money while people are suffering?
During these turbulent ecomonic times , when we could very well head into a deep recession or even a depression..should the candidates really be raising so much money? Obama has raised more than McCain. Is either candidate going to help poor Addie Polk who at the age of 90 was in foreclosure and tried to commit suicide?
Millions of our money is going to these campaigns while we eat hot dogs for dinner. While the banks fail and our government had to bail them out at a cost of 700 billion dollars plus.
Honestly? I don’t think so.
My own personal belief is that American Presidential campaigns go on for too long and cost too much.
I think the funding should be capped at 20-25 mill, the primaries & caucuses condensed to a three-four month period starting in April/May and finishing July/August, the conventions held over TWO days in late September/early October and the election as normal.
There should also be a limit on saturation advertising and production costs for ads.

While the first half of this Civil War drama is tau… |
