If your behind on loan and foreclosure is threatened will filing bankruptcy for a repayment plan stop any the threat of foreclosure

It will slow it down though.
The only way it stops the foreclosure is if you exempt the bank from the bankruptcy and make payments on the loan.
You can not include the house in the bankruptcy and keep it.
