Is President Obama Ending the Space Program?

For starters yes, I voted for Obama. Is he really ending NASA? I sure hope not. I believe it would do more harm than good. He is trying to cut government spending, but I just don’t think this is the way. This would had a major affect on Florida, Alabama, California, Texas, as well as the U.S. economy. It would would cause so many people to lose their jobs. The loss of jobs would lead to even more foreclosures. And I hear that he wants to outsource space flight to other government and private companies. That would still require the government to use money because they would fund the companies to develop capsules and rockets that can be used as “space taxis”. I think is a HORRIBLE IDEA! I hope that this DOES NOT happen. I want NASA to stay around. I can remember going outside as a child being thrilled to be able to see the shuttle go up.

He isnt ending nasa, but his budget doesnt have the money nasa needs to continue to go into space. Now the worlds sole superpower is going to have to ask russia to take us to space…. thanks obama jfk would be proud!

The space shuttle have been retired and nasa is building a new space craft to replace it, obama has canceled the funding for this craft although their is a slight budget increase for nasa, they have no and will not have any space ships for at least 10 years
