Foreclosure Seniors
Someone please help me.. Having property dispute!?
My husband was a preacher.. And when he passed away I inherited his church. The church is in his father name (deceased), but i have papers from where my husband paid the church out of foreclosure. After my husband passed away the senior pastor took over the church and during the years he took over the church he always gave me money towards the church but we never had a substantial amount. Now that hes now deceased his son now runs the church and he doesn’t want to give me anything for the church. The church is paid off so its not like he has to pay rent but I think he should give me something because my husband and i paid for the church. And the thing that makes me so mad is some how some way the son (current pastor) has taken my father-in- law name off of the property papers, and changed it to the name of the church but im thinking who’s name is under the church name? Someone please give me a little directions on what i should go with this?
The direction you need is an attorney well versed in both real estate law and non-profit laws.
This is not a do it yourself deal and will end up with a judge.
