Foreclosure School
our home is being taken by foreclosure after divorce and we live in a very expensive small town,?
i think i couild afford to get an apartment here but we are leaving a big yard in a neighborhood with a block that the kids can ride their bikes and walk around. w have been here 8 years (since the kids were born) . i am not sure if a move to a less expensive town would be good for the kids. im really scared. This would mean a different school and different friends my kids are 7 an almost 9 years old.
Do you work? Can you work? Do you get child support? Does your husband work? Are the schools that much different or worse in surrounding towns? Can you get any help from family?
If you have to move, you have to move. The Kids will just have to adjust and make new friends. It would probably be better to live in a small house than an apartment but this will be dependent on your economic situation. Children are a lot more resilient than people realize but of course they will also be dealing with the trauma of divorce. Need more information.
