Foreclosure Historical
buying a historical condo?
We found a great condo down by a beach with a great price. It’s foreclosure. But I have never lived or buy a historical. It was build in 1920. Some say some structure build back in 1920s or 40s are a lot stronger than now. Is it true? What would be a disadvantage to live an historical building?
Historical buildings have restrictions, especially if it is state or federal. You need to contact whatever entity has declared the building to be of historical significance to find out.
Homes built in that time period were build with better materials (100 times better) and with people really skilled in their craft, who took pride in their work. Construction today is cheap, with garbage such as sheetrock, done by illegals who don’t give a damn. I would never live in a modern home, only a modernized classic.
