Foreclosure Evaluation

Does anyone know if Ceridian Corporation does a credit check?

My girlfriend has terrible credit and is in foreclosure and this has kept her from getting several jobs. She is close to an offer at the Human Resource outsourcing giant (privately-held) firm Ceridian and she is worried about this issue again keeping her from a great job.

If so, is there anyway around it, ie, probationary status, having the boss overlook it if he really likes her, any legal avenues.

In the application they clearly state if an offer is extended they will be subject to a “evaluation process which includes: drug screening for prohibited drugs and background investigation.”

It also states that all of the info on the application maybe be checked by a national agency specializing in checking credentials.

Her only worry is the credit check. If they do it…its HORRIBLE…will they deny her the job because of it or work with her somehow.

i personally think that this is a stupid thing for companies to do, checking somone’s credit history. it is her work record that counts, and if she has a had a LOT of jobs, they might think there is bad risk in hiring and of course, that trickles down to no cash, no paying of bills, then bad credit. Vicious circle
