Foreclosure Booklet
Need help with this ?
I got forclosed on without bieng officially notified by a sheriff or a certified letter they have a document that was signed by a notery public that they sent the notification my question is this from an artical I found on the web as to how true this is , FHA foreclosure laws require that your lender provide you with a booklet entitled “How to Avoid Foreclosure”. They must also meet with you in person to discuss a pre-foreclosure review and options to prevent your foreclosure before they can foreclose. If your lender does not follow these rules, they cannot foreclose. Any information is helpfully and thanks on advanced
They have to send you the booklet, which could have come in any statement at any time so you will have to look through all the letters you have ever received from them to see if they sent it. They also have to offer you an interview, again this could have come in any type of correspondence and doesn’t have to be a formal appointment request. Often you would have had to have called them to set up the interview.
The process that they have to follow will depend on the state that you live in. You will really want to contact a lawyer who knows the laws in your state and what needed to happen. You will want to make sure that they know what they are doing, which can be hard since most people don’t use lawyers all the time.
You city might have clinics to help you or try contacting a tenants rights group in your area, although they deal with renters they will be able to direct you where to go for your situation.
The key thing is time is of the essence and your options will be different depending on what stage in the process you are in. Document everything, get everything signed, and get competent advice.
Good Luck
