Foreclosure Bergen
Buying a house?
I’m very serious about buying a home. But w/ my income, i can’t afford my “ideal” home. I earn 91K a year. I want to buy a home that costs around 300K (which is aggressive) in Bergen county, NJ. I have saved 20K, which will just cover closing. I can save up to 40K by early summer this year. The property taxes alone in above 12K a year. First question is, is it realistic for me to afford a home that costs 300K a year? 2nd questions is, what is so controverisal about buying foreclosures? Should i consider? 3rd, what can i do to buy my ideal home w/ such limited income?
Why do you think this home will cost 300K a YEAR? You should have no problem getting pre-approved for a mortgage for that priced home with your salary. Once you have saved what you want, get pre-approved and start shopping.
