Are the beneficiaries of Bush’s bonanza snapping up the bargain foreclosures?
You bet.
There are more and more stories coming out of tenants who have offered foreclosing banks current market value for the properties they occupy, and the banks deciding to evict and sit on empty property until values rise again at some date in the future. Empty homes invite squatters and criminal activity, which only serves to further depress values.
The very wealthy can step right in and join the party. Rates are still low for those with fabulous credit.
I hope this wasn’t really the plan all along….
