My home is in foreclosure–I have a short sale offer–what happens to the money that was in escrow for insurance and taxes?
taxes were paid in November, Insurance was due in January–escrow was just short a couple hundred–was curious if they would have paid the insurance. Didnt expect it refunded …..
The taxes must be brought current when you sell. The fact that you owe the lender payments now they will take any escrow you have to try to get as close to even as they can
