Decree Foreclosure

How do I get this foreclosure off my credit? In our divorce decree, my EX is shown to be fully responsible?

My ex husband and I owned a home together but in January 2010 we divorced. We had been seperated since April 2009, all the while he lived in the house while my son and I moved out. Well he stopped paying the mortgage and the home was foreclosed on. In our divorce decree, my ex assumes complete responsibility for the home letting me basically walk away from it. But now this foreclosure is on my credit report. I disputed Experian and it wasnt removed from my credit so what can I do here? I have all the documentation showing that this should be cleared from my name so how can I apply this to my credit report to get this foreclosure off of it? Thanks a bunch for your help in advance, I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what to do!!

I would take it to the lender that initiated foreclosure which proably isnt’ the real lender but simply a debt collector. They may say no but then again with copies of your divorce degree who knows? Worth a shot. Send copies and demand it to be removed. Dispute it again with the credit bureau. You may still be on as joint tenant becuase you probably needed to refinance it into his name alone. It is worth trying things even if you are fairly sure they won’t work. If all else fails fight the company that foreclosede.. chances are it was foreclosed on improperly by wrong party of interest. That might be too much of a battle though and in that case you at least can start working to improve credit score.
