Compliance Foreclosure

If I am a renter, and it goes into foreclosure, do I have to show the house to potential buyers?

The house I am renting has been foreclosed on. The bank has been trying to show the house and they say they posted notices on our door, but we never got them. We have a lease that isn’t up until Sept 1, 2011. They have served us eviction papers (apparently they sold the house-even though no one has ever seen it?), . They are claiming “Non compliance” because we didn’t show the house ( we have NEVER been late on our rent). Their attorney says he can kick us out in 30 days. Don’t we have any rights? What can we do?

The bank had to let you rent for 3 months. Then you go. Those are your rights.

You should not have to show the house, but you have to allow it to be shown. It is not up to you to stop anyone selling their property. If you thnk they won;t sue you you’re in for a surprise.
