College Foreclosure

What is the best way to get credit at 18?
Alright so I am 18, graduated last year, just got a job, don’t pay any bills(living with the parents) and I want to start building my credit. As far as I know I can’t get a credit card without a cosigner until 21(my parents have a foreclosure on their credit so they can’t cosign) and I’m not sure about getting a loan. Any advice? I’m not in college either.
You should be able to get a secured credit card on your own. Ask your local credit union or bank if they offer that option. You will have to deposit money in an account you can’t touch and in return they give you a credit card with a limit that’s generally slightly lower than what you deposit. You make your payments regularly & build your credit. It’s also a good way to keep your spending in check.
