Buckhead Foreclosure
Would you consider a property in Buckhead as a good investment property?
I’ve found a few condos for shortsell/foreclosure in Buckhead in Georgia at a reasonable price. I’m wondering what people thought the long term prospect for the area. Thanks.
I’d be hesitant. Atlanta and especially Buckhead is ridiculously overbuilt and there are a lot of vacant properties – both rental and condos. If you wanted to rent them out, you’ll have a lot of competition in Buckhead and you’d have to undercut the nearby “luxury apartment complexes” which for some reason, people in Atlanta seem to like a lot. And especially if the places are older and don’t have a lot of amenities, you’re not going to get upscale tenants.
Plus it you change your mind down the road, it won’t be easy to sell the properties. I lived in an investment property condo, but I had friends who rented from people who had to get tenants because their place wouldn’t sell.
