6 Foreclosures
My parents rent in a 4-plex.. They were just given a 6 month notice to leave, due to Foreclosure..?
The management company had been taking the rent, (from all the tenants) and just NOT paying the owners. They even let this new guy move in a month ago!.. Now everyone has 6 months to find a place… Is there anything they can do to take legal action?..or are they just screwed?
so am i understanding that they no longer have to pay rent?
unfortunately things like this are happening everywhere. The lien holder wants the property vacant for auction. Lucky thing is they did not get into a rent to own deal and put down a substantial amount of money like so many are being scammed with. 6 months is generous most get 30 days max.
The only legal options they have is to recover the deposit but chances are near zero of collecting due to the owner is already in foreclosure and probable bankruptcy
